Our Purpose:
WHAT IS SHE LEADS MISSOURI?
We are a movement of women that HONORS Christian women of influence, AMPLIFIES their voices, and UNITES and EMPOWERS them to bring faith-based solutions to modern day challenges. As a state chapter of She Leads America, we exist to bring together women across Missouri and honor their accomplishments through annual events held across the state.
WHO WE HONOR
Our Honoree Network recognizes the accomplishments of women of faith in:
• Business and Industry
• Health and Wellness
• Education
• Government, Law, Military and First Responders
• Non-Profits (Community Service, Social Action, Christian Ministry)
• Family Life and Welfare
• Media, Sports and Entertainment
HOW WE HONOR
We host special events dedicated to celebrating the accomplishments of Christian women in our state. We recognize our honorees by announcing their names and inviting them to stand as we share a brief description of their accomplishments. Each honoree receives an official She Leads Missouri certificate and a small gift of appreciation. We also work with one of our state legislators, who will enter each name in the official state record as a She Leads Missouri honoree. Once honored, each woman is part of the broader She Leads America movement and is able to participate in events held around the nation, including national retreats and events in Washington, D.C. In addition, honorees can then recommend other Christian Woman of Influence to be honored at the next She Leads Missouri event.
UPCOMING EVENTS
In honor of our national founder Liz Doyle’s love of high tea, She Leads Missouri’s inaugural event will hold what we call an “Honor Tea” held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 in St Louis, MO. For more details, see our events page.
WHAT IS SHE LEADS AMERICA?
Founded by Liz Doyle, She Leads America initially began in Michigan. Liz recalls, "In January 2019, I felt the Lord spoke to me while in prayer that Christian women in Michigan needed to be ‘a voice’ for traditional values. They needed to rise up and take a stand for Biblical principles, they needed to lead our Nation back to God. I had a meeting with my State Representative, fellow believer, Bronna Kahle. Recognizing that we get more of what we celebrate, a decision was made to hold an Afternoon Tea to honor women of faith for their accomplishments for the State of Michigan. We called our organization, 'She Leads Michigan'. With most of my work being global, I didn't have many connections in Michigan, but the Lord continued to lead. One contact would lead to another until we had our first Tea honoring the first 100 remarkable women, September 2019. 2020 brought new challenges - Covid 19, the lockdowns, our freedoms being challenged and livelihoods threatened. She Leads Michigan never missed a beat, continuing to reach out, holding Liberty Rallies in our communities and a prayer concert called ‘The Invitation’ on the steps of our State Capitol. We began praying together weekly and producing our ‘She Speaks’ programs giving women a platform on which to share their lives and work.”
The movement has since spread beyond Michigan. As a dynamic, diverse organization of accomplished Christian women from across the Nation, She Leads America offers perspective that can only come from hundreds of leaders representing a broad spectrum of influence. We provide a framework to link interdisciplinary perspectives, centered in the Bible. We share resources: ideas, people, strategic thinking. We connect to collaborate, so we can offer faith-based solutions for modern day challenges. We build relationships. We build creative solutions.
SHE LEADS AMERICA’S UNIQUE APPROACH
• She Leads America provides a safe platform for the exchange of ideas with a community of faith-focused, independent thinkers who support and encourage each other, networked together through deep relationships in Christ. We build trust.
• HONOR - She Leads America is built on honoring those who serve through peer-based nominations. We build mutual respect.
• OFFICIAL RECOGNITION - Those nominated are then recognized by State and National Legislators for their accomplishments in their States. We build affirmation.
• BIBLICAL PRINCIPLES AND VALUES are central to our mission and message. Our focal point on God’s Word unites us. We build faith.
• COMMUNITY OUTREACH, SUPPORT AND COLLABORATION We work to contribute to others’ success and celebrate God’s faithfulness together. We rally around God’s vision as it is given to individual members. We look for ways to contribute to the Lord’s work through our members as they reach into their community with God’s principles and love. We watch the Lord work in deeper and broader ways, well beyond what we could have asked or imagined by ourselves. We build vision.

Our Story:
“I first connected with Liz Doyle in 2020 through an email that announced that someone had nominated me to be honored by She Leads Michigan. I had never heard of this organization and didn’t take that first email seriously. I grew up during the time of big hair and acid-washed jeans, when organizations promised to add your name to a “Who’s Who” book if you sent them a check. I assumed this email was most likely a similar scam.
If you know Liz, you know she’s persistent. Soon after, I received a phone call from her asking if I was attending the honor tea. It was during that conversation that I realized that She Leads Michigan was a legitimate organization who simply wanted to honor Christian women of distinction in Michigan for their contributions and achievements for the betterment of our beautiful state. After gaining a better understanding and feeling God’s peace, I accepted the invitation.
That particular honor event occurred during the throes and restrictions of covid, which necessitated that the gathering was moved outdoors.
I remember driving up on that day to this beautiful historic mansion in our state’s capitol. The front lawn was filled with a lovely canopy tent, under which an array of beautifully decorated tables stood with china tea sets and colorful flower arrangements. Many of the women wore stylish hats. It was a stunning visual bouquet of beautiful women in beautiful outfits at beautiful tables on a beautiful spring day. I felt honored by the ladies at this event, but more than that, I felt honored by God. He had whispered my name in someone’s ear and that very thought moved my heart. I felt loved and seen.
The following year, I submitted my friend Shantae’s name to be honored at the tea. I enjoyed that second event even more because I got to watch the impact that experience had on my friend. She simply glowed!
Fast forward then to January of 2023 when Liz Doyle, now also one of the founders of She Leads America, reached back out to me. This time, she boldly asked me to start a She Leads Missouri chapter. (My family and I had moved to Ferguson, Missouri in October of 2021 to serve full time with a Christian nonprofit dedicated to reconciliation and restorative justice.) She challenged me that perhaps the Lord brought me to Missouri not just to do the work I was presently involved in, but to also launch She Leads Missouri. I laughed and responded, “I’m too busy.” To which Liz countered, “Tami, everyone is busy. This movement is filled with CEOs and presidents and nonprofit leaders. God wants to honor His women and It’s His timing for this movement to spread across the U.S. and the nations.”
Liz invited me to an upcoming She Leads America retreat in Michigan and even offered to cover my room and board. She wanted me to meet some of the other state leaders from across the nation and get a better sense of this movement of women.
I was flabbergasted. Starting She Leads Missouri was definitely not on my Bingo Card. How was I to do this with all my present family and professional commitments? I remember wondering, “Lord, is this you? Would this even be possible?” I knew Liz would only ask me if she felt like the Lord had told her to do so. I knew her testimony enough to know that she moves quickly and decisively when she believes God has spoken.
I walked downstairs to find my husband John and ask him what he thought (he’s my litmus). To my surprise, John immediately replied that I should attend the retreat. I think his response almost shocked me as much as Liz’s question. He reminded me that he had been encouraging me for months that there was more to me (more to my calling) than what I was currently doing in ministry.
I went back to Liz and offered to lead worship for the retreat if they still needed someone. Strangely enough, they did need a worship leader, so I agreed to serve the retreat in that capacity. I think the Lord knew I needed a “job” to make sure I attended.
Long story short, I came away from that initial retreat with a profound appreciation of this movement of women. I loved being in a room filled with incredible ladies from so many different cultural backgrounds and expertise, united in their passion for Jesus, their support for LIFE and biblical values, and their desire to bring the light and influence of the gospel into every sphere of society. These were “solutionaries” and collaborators. These women inspired me. I knew I had found my tribe.
Since that first retreat, I have had the honor of leading worship and directing the She Sings Choir at multiple retreats and national events. I have truly loved worshiping with these world-changers.
Finally, during the 2025 She Leads America retreat in Midlothian, Texas, I felt a release to say, “Yes.” to Liz’s original ask about starting She Leads Missouri. Over the course of this past year, the Lord has drawn a handful of amazing Missourian ladies together to help in this noble pursuit. I am excited to finally announce that we are launching She Leads Missouri on April 25, 2026 in St. Louis. God is moving!

Our Values:
We believe in God, the Father almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
We believe in Jesus Christ, His only Son, our Lord who was conceived by the power of the Holy Spirit and born of the virgin Mary. He was tortured, crucified, died, and was buried. After descending to hell, He rose from the dead on the third day. He ascended to heaven and is seated at the right hand of God, the Father almighty. From there, He will come to judge the living and the dead.
We believe in the Holy Spirit, the true Christian church of all times and all places, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and life everlasting.
We believe that God is the one who instituted marriage between a man and a woman in His divine plan and that family is the foundation of a civil society.
We affirm that our destiny was in the mind of God even before we were conceived as a male or female and that this destiny is achieved through the identity He has assigned to us. (Psalm 139; Genesis 1:27-28)
We affirm the life message from conception to death: God has a divine plan and an abundant life for every human being. We stand to see all people achieve their destiny in Christ. (Psalm 139; Genesis 1:27-28; Jeremiah 1:4-5)
